Note: I would recommend not reading this if you have not yet read Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25. It contains spoilers!
Summary
After the events that transpired in Pasadena, California, Michael and the rest of the Electroclan (with some new members) are back in Boise... but not for long. The groups till needs to be on the run from the Elgen, which includes Dr. Hatch and the electric teens that are still loyal to him. While in Boise, a mysterious voice reaches out to Michael (through phone call... Michael isn't crazy) and offers aid against the Elgen and help for finding Michaels mother. Michael must decide whether or not the voice is the Electroclan's savior, or it's doom.
Meanwhile, Hatch is having to deal with many problems and all of them start with the meddlesome Michael Vey. The Elgen board of directors is almost equally as troublesome to Hatch than the Electroclan. Him and the electric teens must find a way to take down Michael, take control of Elgen, and implement their "world-changing" plan.
How will Michael handle all of the problems being thrown at him and his friends? Will he deal with it on his own or will he enlist the help of the mysterious voice in finding his mother? Let's just say.... no matter what he decides, they can't stay in Idaho much longer.
Opinion
Scale of 1-10:

Okay so this is honestly a good book. The only thing that bothers me about it is that there is some corny dialogue that honestly I don't think people would say. That being said, when I red this book (and the first one) I was a few years younger and the dialogue didn't seem all that bad. Rereading it now, I realize that these books are more meant for preteens and a little younger.
Putting that aside, I think the story is PHENOMINAL! I love the adventure that the story entails and the characters that you meet. I also like how the story flows smoothly and there aren't really a lot of parts that are drawn out like you would get with bigger books. I think that's why this book is such a fun read; it doesn't take up too much of your time and you get to go on a fun little adventure :-)
Age Rating
9-10+
As I said before, this book is definitely more for the preteen age range. That of course doesn't necessarily mean that adults won't enjoy this book. The adventure aspect of it is still quite interesting and enjoyable. When it comes to language, there is exactly zero. There is no language whatsoever in this book. Two of the characters in the book (Michael and Taylor) are dating and they show affection for one another throughout the book. It's nothing more than quick kisses or hugging. One character, Ostin, often refers to another one of the electric kids, McKenna, as being hot. Her superpower is heating up to extreme degrees so he means this literally and figuratively on purpose. I believe that this book is super appropriate for younger kids and the only thing that would be a problem is the reading level. Most kids younger than 9 may not be at the books reading level.
