Summary
Rebecca Bloomwood is a fairly decent financial journalist. Her whole career is based on telling people the best way to manage their money. If only she could apply that to herself. If only she could listen to what she writes and be smart with her money. If only all the designer clothes and shoes would just be a few pounds cheaper...
Everywhere Rebecca looks, there are things that she absolutely must have! Like those pants for example. Wouldn't they look just fab on her? And then those boots! In reality, there are just more things she wants than the money she has. That doesn't seem to stop her as she spirals more and more out of debt and her lies she's telling the bank and her loved ones are piling up onto her. On top of all that, she cannot seem to get the head of Brandon Communications, Luke Brandon, out her thoughts. That won't end well.
How will Rebecca get out of her crushing credit card debt and still maintain her lifestyle of buying whatever she pleases? Is that even possible?

As far as rom-coms go, this is one I genuinely love! Especially this second time reading it I was reacting to all of the parts that she just completely embarrassed herself and I was mortified FOR HER! The only scary thing I felt when reading this book was how much I related to her want for buying things.... maybe I should fix that?
One thing I really learn from this book, though, is to think before I open my mouth and say stuff. She would say the most embarrassing things without thinking and I'm just sitting in my quiet room yelling at her and wondering what she's thinking! Then I start laughing at her stupid and the fact that I'm getting so into it.
Honestly, this is a book you should read if you like rom-coms. I myself don't read them a lot but I'm hoping to branch out soon and read more. I'm picky about what I read and I like to relate to what I read, especially if it's realistic fiction. So, we'll see!
Age Rating
13-14+
There a few sexual references and a little over a moderate amount of language it's not a little bit of language but it's also not every single page. There's no violence.
Language:
The words "fu**", "damn", "sh**", "ass", "bastard", and "piss" are said multiple times throughout. Again, it's not every page but it's still a notable amount.
Sexual Content:
There's more talk about sex than anything else. It's also implied that Rebecca and the main love interest have sex but details aren't gone into. Near the beginning of the book, Rebecca and her roommate talk about how a man Rebecca was seeing didn't want to have sex until they were married. She and her roommate were looking at this in a negative light.
Violence:
N/A
