Hey everyone! I hope everyone's having a great day so far and I just want to thank you for taking the time and reading this fun little article that I'm doing. If you're a parent and wondering what your young kids should read, then this is the article for you! I'll be giving you a few books that your child might enjoy. I have a lot of younger family members so I promise that these books are kid-approved!

I Survived Books by Lauren Tarshis

The I Survived books bring to life some of the most historical events as if you were there. You experience these events from the point of view of a fictional character that goes through the event and (obviously) survives it. Hence the title I Survived...

There are a lot of these books that all depict different events throughout history. I feel that they're all really cool when it comes to educational purposes. I found that it's easier for younger kids to read these books from the point of view of another kid and be able to understand what exactly happened during this point in history. I've personally read only three of the books but I've spoken to others who completely love the books. The events this author writes about vary from the Titanic sinking in 1912 to the Joplin tornado in 2011.

I think that these books are really good when it comes to kids learning about historical events and being able to see what someone who experienced the event might have gone through. Again, all of the characters in these books are fictional but it still doesn't mean that it isn't what someone would be thinking in the situations their in.

Fancy Nancy Books by Jane O'Conner

Meet Nancy, who believes that more is ALWAYS better when it comes to being fancy. From the top of her tiara down to her sparkly studded shoes, Nancy is determined to teach her family a thing or two about being fancy and using fancy words.

How Nancy transforms her parents and little sister for one enchanted evening makes for a story that is funny and warm—with or without the frills. (Summary from Goodreads)

Let me just say that I LOVED the Fancy Nancy books when I was younger. They are such a huge part of my childhood! I still, to this day, use words that I read in the book, Fancy Nancy's Favorite Fancy Words: From Accessories to Zany. I love the adorable characters that this book has and it has such a cute flair that I'm sure young girls will absolutely love!

The Last Kids on Earth by Max Brallier

Ever since the monster apocalypse hit town, average thirteen year old Jack Sullivan has been living in his tree house, which he's armed to the teeth with catapults and a moat, not to mention video games and an endless supply of Oreos and Mountain Dew scavenged from abandoned stores. But Jack alone is no match for the hoards of Zombies and Winged Wretches and Vine Thingies, and especially not for the eerily intelligent monster known only as Blarg. So Jack builds a team: his dorky best friend, Quint; the reformed middle school bully, Dirk; Jack's loyal pet monster, Rover; and Jack's crush, June. With their help, Jack is going to slay Blarg, achieve the ultimate Feat of Apocalyptic Success, and be average no longer! Can he do it?

I put the summary from Goodreads because I've personally never read this series, but my younger brother absolutely raved about this book when he read it for the first time! This is also a new Netflix original series that seems very popular as well.

Popular MMOs by Pat+Jen from Popular MMOs

When Pat and Jen stumble into a hidden hole while playing hide-and-seek, they find that they’re trapped in a dangerous underworld and that their good friend, Bomby, has been kidnapped! Now it’s up to our daring duo and their “friend” Carter to battle the zombies, find the castle, and get back home before it’s too late.

Can Pat and Jen find Bomby and flee the underworld before they get zombified by the evilest villain of them all—Evil Jen? (Summary from Goodreads)

From the one of the most popular YouTubers, Popular MMOs, an awesome video-game-inspired graphic novel is brought to life! This is another book that I've personally never read but I've heard from very good sources (an 8 year old) that this is an awesome book. This same 8 year old is really into video games so I trust his opinion that it's great for kids who love to game!

Well, there you are. For you parents, these are excellent books that I'm sure your child will absolutely love! I honestly haven't read a lot of the books but I still have it on good authority that they are awesome and entertaining stories. Hope you enjoyed this list and that you use it when needed!

Sincerely,
