Welcome to the beautiful season of summer everyone! For this first month of summer, I have an amazing array of books lined up. Many of the books are continuations of series that I've started earlier this year but I'll also be starting new series and I'm VERY excited to share them with you! If you've never read any of my reading list articles, then you should know that my summaries come from Goodreads because of the fact that I haven't yet read the book to make an accurate summary in my own words. Hope you enjoy!
Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him-and I didn't know how dominant that part might be-that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
Ok, so I know that this doesn't give almost any details about the book series but I feel that many of you are familiar with the premise of thee Twilight series. In case you aren't though, it's pretty much about a girl, Bella, that falls in love with a mysterious boy from her high school, Edward, and then discovers that he is a vampire. Should she be scared or should she follow the feelings she has for him and be with him?
I've read this book before but it's definitely been a while. The reason that I'm wanting to take them up again is because of the release of Stephenie Meyer's new Twilight book, Midnight Sun. I've also watched the movies and as corny as they can be sometimes, the nostalgia that I feel with them makes them so amazing for me!

Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.
You know, I totally get that I should have read this book already at this point in my life and for some reason I just haven't. My friend is the one that lectured me for not reading it. She then proceeded to tell me that she's read it at least nine times and that I'm crazy for not reading it or seeing the movie. All-in-all, I'm very excited to start reading this popular and somewhat classic story!

Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Laia is a slave. Elias is a soldier. Neither is free.
Under the Martial Empire, defiance is met with death. Those who do not vow their blood and bodies to the Emperor risk the execution of their loved ones and the destruction of all they hold dear.
It is in this brutal world, inspired by ancient Rome, that Laia lives with her grandparents and older brother. The family ekes out an existence in the Empire’s impoverished backstreets. They do not challenge the Empire. They’ve seen what happens to those who do.
But when Laia’s brother is arrested for treason, Laia is forced to make a decision. In exchange for help from rebels who promise to rescue her brother, she will risk her life to spy for them from within the Empire’s greatest military academy.
There, Laia meets Elias, the school’s finest soldier—and secretly, its most unwilling. Elias wants only to be free of the tyranny he’s being trained to enforce. He and Laia will soon realize that their destinies are intertwined—and that their choices will change the fate of the Empire itself.
This is another series that I've read already but I'm wanting to do a review on it so that I can be prepared for when the final book of the series, A Sky Beyond the Storm, is released on December 1st. I absolutely love this book and I'm really looking forward to doing an official review for it!
