Summary

So Callum Hunt didn't have the BEST summer any kid could dream of. Between his best friend being a massive wolf that's filled with Chaos magic (doesn't make him any less sweet though) and his father suspecting that he's evil.... Call has a lot on his mind. When Call discovers that his father is planning on trying to destroy him and Havoc (the wolf), Call decides it's time to make a break for it. He needs to go back to the Magisterium, though, he doesn't know how much safer he'll actually be there. Just because it's a magical school doesn't mean it's going to be COMPLETELY safe.

A new series of challenges awaits Callum, Tamara, and Aaron as Call needs to figure out who he is and what it means for his future. They also now have to deal with the fact that there's a chance Call's father is trying to steal one of the most dangerous magical artifacts in order to kill Call. But in the life of Callum Hunt, stuff like that is to be expected.

Opinion

Scale of 1-10:

9

There is literally only O

NE thing that I dislike about the series. It is very similar to Harry Potter. Luckily, the second half of the book starts to take its own course, different from the J.K. Rowling series. Again this series doesn't fail to disappoint when it comes to the great sarcastic comments and even though Call seems to be happier when it comes to his friends, he still has that amazing dark sense of humor! In my opinion there was even an increase in humor because there's one character that tags along and the comments made by and to that character is absolutely hilarious. So , all-in-all, I feel that this book is a really good magical story and is definitely worth the read!

Warning: Minor spoilers to the story are here!

Honestly, this book is just as appropriate as the previous book. There is only one instance of cursing and it was Tamara saying that Call "pissed them [the teachers at the Magisterium] all off." When it comes to romance, at the end of the book, Celia, a small romantic interest from the first book, kisses Call. It's very brief due to the fact that other people were in the room. It's very suiting to Call's character that he had no idea how to react in the instance. This book also contains violence and characters talk about death it's obviously nothing too graphic but still I should note it. Other than the stuff I've said, there are no other inappropriate aspects to the book and I feel that this is a good book for kids.
