Summary
After failing in her Broadway career, April (Sofia Carson) is forced to move back to her home town in Wisconsin. Embarrassed of her failure, she keeps it on the down-low as she's asked to teach the local dance class that she used to attend as a child. The only reason she agrees to it is that the dance competition coming up is judged by someone who could possibly get her professional life back on track.
What April didn't expect is that everything she's come back to affects her in an interesting way. Being faced with her past love (Wolfgang Novogratz) and the students that she's oddly becoming attached to, April has many things to consider when it comes to her future. Which will she choose?

I will admit that when my friend recommended that I watch this movie, I did not have high hopes going into it. I thought it would be COMPLETELY miserable to watch, but it actually wasn't as bad as I had assumed. Obviously it had it's corny and bad-acting moments, but it wasn't too bad. I like movies that have dancing and stuff, even if the story is slightly cliche, sometimes there's nothing wrong with knowing EXACTLY what to happen! I just have to be in the mood for these kinds of movies.
I don't have much else to say about the movie only because it didn't hit me in any remarkable way. That and the corny bits are the reason I gave it a lower score. There are a couple of funny moments and most of them had to do with the dancer kid's fathers. They love their daughters so much and I loved how this movie showed the dads taking up roles that the mothers usually would. They were getting really into the competition and they knew all the names to the dance moves and were practicing with their daughters! It was probably the only really cool thing about the movie!

There aren't really any inappropriate parts in the movie except for some kissing and really minor language.
Language:
The only words said are "sh**", and "ass". They are said once maybe two times throughout.
Sexual Content:
There's only one kissing scene in the movie in terms of the main love story between the main character and her love interest. Other than that, there's really nothing else when it comes to sexual content.
Violence:
There is no violence in the movie.
